In the exhibition Nieuwe meesters blikken terug / New masters look back, the gallery asked a group of artists to make a connection to old masters. They have taken a well-known piece of art as the starting point for a new work. The only restriction was the size: 40 x 50 cm.

Na de jacht! – Rijksmuseum Twenthe

5 june – 12 september 2021 – Ten years of collecting in 100 artworks.

The highlight of the exhibition was the newly acquired work ‘View of Hampstead Heath: Child’s Hill, with Harrow in the distance’ from 1824 by the famous English landscape painter John Constable. In addition, Rijksmuseum Twenthe has been able to make a large number of acquistions in the domain of contemporary art, thanks to a contribution from the Mondriaan Fund’s Collection Programmes.

My video triptych Respice Finem, acquired in 2019, was part of the exhibition.

Slow Movements

Slow Movements – De Vishal, Haarlem
10 July – 8 August 2021

Slow movements was an exhibition about slow and organic processes of movement such as growth, decay, flow and gravity. In nature that surrounds us, everything is in motion. Sometimes so slow that it escapes the human eye. Slow transitions can occur through natural processes such as displacement and conversion.

Participating artists: Cellavie L*A*B*, Hanneke Francken, Mary Geradts, Marjolein van Haasteren, Arno Kramer, Inge Reisberman (curator), Lon Robbé and Izaak Zwartjes.

Counterpart – Provinciehuis Haarlem

The ‘Dreef’ exhibition Counterpart highlighted contemporary art by seven South-Holland artists: Lily de Bont, Maurice Braspenning, Joncquil, Inge Reisberman, Simon Schrikker, Rik Smits and Renie Spoelstra. Guest-curator Aart van der Kuijl.
The title Counterpart refers to the historical fact that North- and South-Holland were once united.
