Homo Bulla Est
Solo exhibition in ‘De Utrecht’ in Leeuwarden
16 September – 17 December 2022

De Utrecht, an art nouveau monument combined with contemporary art in Leeuwarden, acquired two videos by Inge Reisberman (Almelo 1959) in 2021, in which ants play the lead role. With this exhibition, the desire to show more of her videowork has been realized. More small animals and amazing natural manifestations make temporary appearances in the building. From the series Homo Bulla, De Utrecht will present two satellite videos as well as other new and existing videoworks. and a digital.
The existential themes Inge Reisberman brings up in her “slow cinema” videos are delicately mixed with a touch of poetry. In the laconic and observational style of filming, lightness is given plenty of space. Those who allow themselves to spend some time in the parallel world discover depth and wonder. 4 september – 23 october 2021

In the exhibition Nieuwe meesters blikken terug / New masters look back, the gallery asked a group of artists to make a connection to old masters. They have taken a well-known piece of art as the starting point for a new work. The only restriction was the size: 40 x 50 cm.

5 june – 12 september 2021 – Ten years of collecting in 100 artworks.
The highlight of the exhibition was the newly acquired work ‘View of Hampstead Heath: Child’s Hill, with Harrow in the distance’ from 1824 by the famous English landscape painter John Constable. In addition, Rijksmuseum Twenthe has been able to make a large number of acquistions in the domain of contemporary art, thanks to a contribution from the Mondriaan Fund’s Collection Programmes.
My video triptych Respice Finem, acquired in 2019, was part of the exhibition.
